All materials shall be placed in the swale for collection no earlier than 7 p.m. on the day prior to the scheduled collection day and no later than 7 a.m. on the scheduled collection day. All containers must be removed within 12 hours following collection.
Vegetative waste should be placed in the swale area or edge of pavement and must not be mixed with non-vegetative waste or bulk items. To avoid damage, do not place vegetative waste adjacent to a mailbox, utility pole, sprinkler head, near/under trees, cable/utility lines, or further than 6 feet from the paved edge of the street. In addition, vegetative waste should be placed a minimum of 5 feet away from other garbage containers.
Do not place vegetative waste on your driveway as damage could result from collection. The City is not responsible for damage or repairs to your driveway.
Vegetative waste such as tree trimmings and palm fronds cannot exceed 4 inches in diameter and 5 feet in length. Anything larger must be cut to guidelines or disposed of by the owner/tenant to the Solid Waste Authority of Palm Beach County’s disposal site. Homeowners shall be responsible for making sure that vegetative waste generated by a private company/landscaper be removed from the property by the private company/landscaper at the completion of the work day. At no time may this debris be left on the street overnight.
Vegetation debris generated by a homeowner should be kept out of sight and placed for collection in the swale no earlier than 7:00 p.m. prior to collection day and no later than 7:00 a.m.on the scheduled collection day.
